I think this record actually starts with the third song, 2 Kool 2 Be 4-gotten. The way she sings “junebug versus hurricane…,” the way her voice and the guitar dance while she’s “leaning against the water of the lake charles bridge…” - it’s everything the swampy, summery, dreamy album is about, to me.
